I though maybe I could be a firefighter, and you could be trapped in the playground when it is on pretend fire, and I could come rescue you! Or we could both be firefighters and we'll both put out the pretend fire and save the playground together!

Not necessarily. This is a matter of the heart, not the brain. So being brain smart only helps so much.

[Getting to his feet, Jataro lifts the truck up in the air and-- ah, there are the noises Nagisa had been expecting. As he 'drives' it through the air, he makes a variety of engine sounds, happily making his way out the door. This is going to be so fun!!]

[There we go...this is the sort of reaction he was hoping for in response to his gift. A happy Jataro making silly engine sounds. Nagisa smiles to himself and follows the mer across the room and out the door.]

[The fire truck flies the whole way there, getting noises and a few beeps as he approaches doors that need to be opened before they're outside. Once they reach the playground, he stops and looks at Nagisa expectantly.]

Don't worry! I'll definitely protect you from the pretend fire.

I'm not worried. [It's pretend fire, after all. Jataro has made that point very clear. Once they're at the playground, Nagisa also comes to a stop. He looks over the various bits of playground equipment with a pensive look. If Jataro wants to rescue him from a pretend fire, he needs to be in a pretend burning building, right? Which one would make the best pretend building...] I know you will.

[Ah! Yes, that'll do. Without another word, the nymph walks over to the highest slide and starts climbing up the ladder. Once he reaches the top, he settles himself on the little platform, legs resting on the metal chute of the slide itself. There. Perfect. He calls down to Jataro.]
